This Privacy Policy describes how the SeedToBody Fertility Tracker mobile application (the "App") handles information about you ("you," "your"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Summary

SeedToBody is designed around a simple principle: your cycle is yours. The App stores the bulk of your personal data — your cycle phases, journal notes, mood entries, and discharge observations — only on your device. We do not operate servers that hold your cycle data. We collect a small amount of information during onboarding (your first name and email, and optionally your age) so Aya can welcome you to the SeedToBody community.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide during onboarding

When you first open the App we ask you for:

  • First name (required) — used to personalize communications from Aya.
  • Email address (required) — used to send you email updates if you opt in.
  • Age (optional) — helps us understand the audience we serve.
  • Marketing opt-in (a checkbox) — your choice whether to receive email updates from Aya about cycle wisdom, offerings, and new material.

This information is stored locally on your device in the App's private data store.

2.2 Information you log inside the App

While using the App you can log:

  • Cycle phase (menses, follicular, ovulation, luteal)
  • Daily journal notes
  • Mood observations
  • Cervical discharge observations
  • Cycle start date and cycle length

This cycle data is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded to our servers, because we do not operate servers that receive this data.

2.3 Information we do not collect

  • We do not collect your precise location.
  • We do not collect device identifiers for tracking (IDFA).
  • We do not use third-party analytics SDKs.
  • We do not use advertising SDKs.
  • We do not collect information about your use of other apps.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • First name and email (always): stored locally so the App can personalize its interface and so that you can export your information for yourself at any time.
  • First name and email (if you opt in to marketing): may be exported by Aya and added to an email list to send you updates, resources, and new offerings from SeedToBody. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email you receive, or by emailing [email protected].
  • Age: retained for audience insight in aggregate form. We do not publish or share age information tied to any individual.
  • Cycle data: used only to power the App's features on your device. It is not transmitted off your device by us.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

We share information only in the following narrow cases:

  • With your consent — for example, if you opt in to the mailing list, your first name and email may be imported into an email marketing service (such as Mailchimp or ConvertKit) that sends mail on Aya's behalf. That service acts as a data processor under our instructions.
  • To comply with law — if we receive a valid legal demand, we will disclose information to the extent required.
  • To protect rights and safety — if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent harm or fraud.

5. Where Your Data Lives

  • On your device: cycle data, journal notes, mood and discharge entries, cycle configuration.
  • On your device and, if you opt in, in our email marketing provider's systems: first name, email, age (if provided), and the date you signed up.

If you have opted in to the mailing list, our email marketing provider processes your data on servers they operate. Their privacy and security practices are governed by their own policies. At the time of writing, Aya uses or plans to use established providers with standard data protection practices.

6. Your Choices and Rights

Regardless of where you live, you have the following choices:

  • Update or correct your information: email [email protected] and we will update or correct it.
  • Delete your information:
    • Information on your device: delete the App. On most devices this removes all SwiftData-stored content, including your cycle log.
    • Information on our mailing list: unsubscribe from any email you receive, or email [email protected] and we will remove you.
  • Opt out of marketing at any time.
  • Request a copy of the information we hold about you by emailing [email protected].

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you also have the rights described in the GDPR (Articles 15–22), including the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection. Our lawful basis for processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) and our legitimate interest in operating the App (Article 6(1)(f)).

If you are a California resident, the CCPA affords you similar rights, including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of sale (note: we do not sell your personal information).

To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 30 days.

7. Data Retention

  • On-device data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
  • Mailing list data is retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the limited information we hold. No system is perfectly secure. Because the bulk of your data lives on your own device, the security of that device is primarily your responsibility — we recommend enabling a device passcode and keeping your operating system updated.

10. International Users

The App is published from the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, the limited information you share with our mailing list provider may be transferred to and processed in the United States or in countries where that provider operates.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top and, if the changes are material, we will announce them through the App or by email to opted-in users.
